This year, because the NAPLAN assessments were cancelled, we used past papers to give the students an in-house NAPLAN experience. The Year 3 and 5 students approached these with such positivity, they should all be very proud of themselves.

We have been very pleased with the results for a number of reasons:

  • The students have done well in a challenging year, and
  • Off Campus Learning has not impeded the students’ learning.

There are a couple of things to consider when viewing the results:

  • Every year group is different and shouldn’t be compared against each other,
  • The students this year sat for their tests 2½ months later than students in previous years, and with all things being equal, this would make a small amount of difference, and
  • It is best to consider the data across a number of years to see the consistency of our students’ results.
