Your Claremont Journey

Starts Here

CLAREMONT COLLEGE WISHES TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND RESPECT ITS PRESENCE IN THE COUNTRY AND ANCIENT LANDS OF THE MURU-ORA-DIAL ABORIGINAL PEOPLE, ONE OF THE TWENTY NINE TRIBES IN THE SYDNEY EORA REGION. SITUATED HIGH ON A HILL OVERLOOKING COOGEE, CLAREMONT COLLEGE ENJOYS THE SAME BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE LANDS ON WHICH THE MURU-ORA-DIAL PEOPLE ONCE ROAMED. FROM THIS VIEWPOINT THE TRADITIONAL OWNERS COULD OBSERVE THE MIGRATING WHALES AND ENJOY THE FRESHWATER STREAM WHICH STILL FLOWS UNDER THE SCHOOL TODAY.
THE ABORIGINAL PEOPLE TRADITIONALLY PLACED GREAT EMPHASIS ON THE EDUCATION OF THEIR CHILDREN IN THE PRACTICAL METHODS OF BUSH KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. TODAY, CLAREMONT COLLEGE, IN THIS SAME LOCATION, PROUDLY CARRIES SIMILAR TRADITIONS AND VALUES IN THEIR CONTEMPORARY EDUCATION OF YOUNG AUSTRALIANS.

School

Facilities

In 2017 we completed a school-wide transformation project and our school looks stunning. Our students and teachers are blessed to learn and interact together in these beautiful spaces each and every day.

Curriculum

Curriculum at Claremont is mandated by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NSW) yet is distinctively Christian in its values and perspective. Our students are given opportunity to personalise their learning and explore their interests and talents.

OUR STORY

Our Core Values of Collaboration, Innovation, and Compassion reflect the 'heart and soul' of our school community. They guide us in this age of rapid change to ensure that all that we love about Claremont College never changes.
